Origins

Every collection is entirely handmade by artisans from Potosí, Oruro and Cochabamba, and most of them comes via the wonderful open-air textile market that happens every Sunday in LLallagua – Potosí.

Each textile is carefully chosen, always with the principles of fair trade in mind.

The majority of the textiles are made to be used in the traditional dance ” Tinku “, which is the powerful Bolivian dance of combat.

Due to the enormous and long-hidden silver deposits in their mountains, Potosí was once one of the richest cities of the world. Today, it is one of the poorest cities in Bolivia.

Textiles were always very important in Bolivia, as they are a way of communication and also, like every art practiced, a way to express and create.
