About

Ayawasqa is a social and cultural project headed by Amancaya Rivera, a Bolivian artist who specializes in the management, conservation and valorization of cultural heritage. Inspired by the breadth and uniqueness of Bolivian culture, and specifically, the traditional know-how so clearly evident in textiles, she created Ayawasqa. The objective is to suggest a new twist to the otherwise traditional uses of the ornaments from the manys dance and festive costumes from Bolivia, always studying carefully the design for the best conservation of the textiles.
